About the position

The Compensation Analyst will work with the compensation team to develop job families, grades, and ranges for employees within an Oil & Gas company. This role involves analyzing compensation data, participating in salary surveys, preparing job descriptions, and making recommendations for salary adjustments to ensure equity and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work with the compensation team to build new job families.
• Assist in developing grades, ranges, and slotting of employees.
• Analyze compensation data and utilize job evaluation processes to determine job worth and market pricing.
• Participate in salary surveys and analyze results to determine the organization's market relationship.
• Prepare job descriptions and job evaluation reports.
• Develop recommendations to adjust salary structures in response to changing organizational needs and market values.
• Analyze current organizational pay practices and recommend salary changes to ensure equity.
• Conduct job analysis to determine appropriate salary levels according to compensation guidelines and policies.
• Ensure all compensation data within the HRIS system is complete and correct.
• Prepare compensation reports as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience preferred, with a minimum of 2 years' experience performing compensation analysis work for a mid to large sized organization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to gather and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reports as needed.
• Understanding of local, state, and country compensation compliance regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience at a drilling contractor is a plus, but not required.
• Well organized and confident to work independently.

Benefits

• Temporary position with hourly pay ranging from $35 to $48.
