About the position

The Compensation Analyst will be a key member of the Human Resources team in the Healthcare industry, responsible for ensuring competitive and fair compensation for all employees. This role involves conducting compensation analyses, developing union compensation programs, and ensuring compliance with compensation laws and regulations. The position is a long-term contract opportunity based in Sacramento, California.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake regular compensation analyses to assure the maintenance of competitive pay rates and adherence to union agreements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain union compensation programs in collaboration with the human resource and finance team.
  • Analyze job descriptions to determine appropriate compensation levels based on the position's responsibility, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
  • Review and interpret union contracts to guarantee all compensation elements are accurately applied.
  • Participate in salary surveys, analyze salary data, and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Prepare periodic reports on compensation costs, trends, and projections in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Address queries from union representatives and employees about compensation.
  • Assist in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Utilize accounting software systems and CRM to manage and track compensation data.
  • Use data mining techniques to analyze and interpret compensation data.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Accounting Software Systems.
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.
  • Proficiency in using CRM is expected.
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports is a must.
  • Proficiency in Data Mining Techniques is needed.
  • Strong background in Accounting Functions.
  • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is necessary.
  • Auditing experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Budget Processes is beneficial.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Capital Management in the healthcare/NHS industry is preferred.
