About the position

The Compensation Analyst position at Apple is a pivotal role within the Corporate Functions team, focusing on the development and implementation of innovative compensation programs that align with Apple's Global Compensation Philosophy. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple projects and deadlines while collaborating with various teams across the organization, including Compensation Business Partners, Finance, Recruiting, and Systems teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and administering key compensation databases and tools, gathering and analyzing compensation data to support business needs, and participating in compensation surveys to provide insights on competitive positioning. In addition to these responsibilities, the Compensation Analyst will contribute to the development of base salary, bonus, and equity programs, as well as compensation policies and practices. This role also involves performing staff support activities to develop, implement, and administer job architecture and compensation policies and programs. The analyst will assist with the annual compensation planning process and will be expected to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners and vendors. This position is essential for ensuring that Apple's compensation strategies are effective and innovative, ultimately supporting the company's goal of attracting and retaining top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer key compensation databases and tools
  • Gather and analyze compensation data to perform analysis and support business needs
  • Participate in compensation surveys and provide analysis of competitive positioning
  • Contribute to the development of base salary, bonus, and equity programs
  • Contribute to the development of compensation policies and practices
  • Perform staff support activities to develop, implement, and administer job architecture and compensation policies and programs
  • Assist with the annual compensation planning process

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a compensation analyst, consultant, or similar role
  • Exceptional knowledge of Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High integrity and ethics in handling confidential information

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MarketPay, FileMaker, Tableau, and/or Workday a plus
  • Highly collaborative style and strong team orientation
  • Energetic, self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a complex, matrix and fast-paced environment
