About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Visa plays a crucial role in supporting the global employee compensation program through quantitative analysis, budget modeling, and financial reporting. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of compensation data, while also leveraging advanced data tools to provide insights and support for salary administration processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support the salary administration process, including annual compensation reviews and salary increase budgets.
  • Deliver data-driven financial accrual reports and projections in collaboration with Finance.
  • Develop sophisticated budget models and financial accrual reports with high accuracy.
  • Leverage insights from market data vendors to inform compensation strategies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for market data processes and tools.
  • Facilitate global benchmarking exercises across multiple regions and vendors.
  • Conduct cost modeling and impact analyses related to compensation program changes.
  • Support the compensation team during the compensation planning process.
  • Interface with Finance, HRIT, HR Systems, and Global Compensation teams for day-to-day functions and project activities.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
  • Experience in a compensation function, preferably within a public company.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Actuarial or Accounting experience a plus.
  • CCP - Certified Compensation Professional certification or progress towards CCP a plus.
  • Workday Management System experience preferred.
  • Salary.com's CompAnalyst System experience preferred.
