About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Cornerstone Systems is responsible for supporting the Finance, HR, and Sales departments with a focus on sales reporting, benefits and compensation, and payroll processing. This role involves consolidating data, generating reports, and ensuring accurate payroll processing while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The position requires strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the complete processing of payroll.
• Act as an HRIS (Paycor) super user, understanding system functionality and leading enhancements.
• Accrue and pay commissions across different plans, forecasting based on sales data.
• Generate key sales reporting on a weekly and monthly basis for analysis.
• Support accounting month-end close processes by posting payroll journal entries and reconciling to the general ledger.
• Reconcile monthly benefits and communicate with vendors for billing.
• Input off-cycle pay increases and calculate on-cycle pay increases in the HRIS system.
• Support the ESOP and 401(k) by reconciling accounts and working with TPA and auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or similar.
• 3+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Transportation or logistics industry experience preferred but not required.
