About the position

The Compensation Analyst works with a team of employee experience professionals who attract and retain Forrester employees through the design and administration of all compensation programs. This role involves providing support for compensation cycles, collaborating on job descriptions and classifications, participating in market data surveys, and providing compensation recommendations. The analyst will also work with cross-functional leaders to streamline compensation processes, manage incoming compensation questions, and support sales incentive design and administration. Additionally, the role requires following emerging compensation trends and educating peers about their implications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for compensation cycles including data preparation, validation, budgeting, systems support, implementation, and training materials.
  • Collaborate on development and maintenance of job descriptions, job classification, salary/band levels, and job profile creation.
  • Participate in market data surveys and benchmark jobs against survey data to determine competitive compensation range.
  • Assist with annual companywide market analysis to determine competitive positioning of pay programs.
  • Provide compensation recommendations for offers, promotions, transfers, and special bonuses.
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to streamline and automate compensation work.
  • Consult with employee experience colleagues to analyze data for comp decisions and communicate changes to employees.
  • Manage and resolve incoming compensation questions and maintain system data for compensation programs.
  • Support the sales incentive design, governance, and administration processes.
  • Identify and manage process, tool, and system improvement projects.
  • Follow emerging compensation trends and educate employee experience peers.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Three-plus years of direct compensation experience with broader HR experience
  • Experience in analyzing large data sets in Excel and a working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Workday experience is preferred
  • Well versed in various state and federal wage and hour laws, including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, MEPA, ERISA
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new information quickly
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • Flexibility to innovate work processes
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
