About the position

The Compensation Analyst role at PayScale involves assisting clients with compensation analyses and salary administration plans. The position focuses on providing consultative guidance regarding pay strategy, participating in client-focused projects, and supporting customer operations through routine tasks. Analysts will engage with customers to understand their compensation goals and provide feedback to improve internal processes and products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design, implementation, and communication of compensation analyses or salary administration plans.
  • Prepare reports and presentations detailing recommendations.
  • Provide consultative guidance regarding pay strategy or compensation philosophy.
  • Participate in special client-focused projects to help customers improve their internal operations.
  • Provide customer and operational support by completing routine tasks associated with customer data.
  • Assist customers over email and phone/video conference to determine compensation-related goals and objectives.
  • Provide benchmarking or market pricing support to balance the workload across multiple teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in compensation or related field.
  • Strong customer service skills focused on problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Research and data analysis skills and mindset.
  • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
  • Project management skills.
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
