About the position

SICK is one of the world's leading providers of intelligent sensors, systems, software, and services for manufacturing, logistics, and industrial applications. The Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in the analysis and administration of compensation programs at SICK. This position involves partnering with supervisors, managers, and HR Business Partners to provide consultative services on all compensation topics, ensuring that programs are consistently applied in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for conducting job analyses to determine FLSA exemption and salary grade assignments based on external market data, internal equity, and compensation guidelines. This role also includes the administration of the variable compensation plan for North America and managing the annual merit process. The Compensation Analyst will evaluate current compensation plans against market trends and make recommendations as needed, as well as develop and execute compensation education for varying levels across the organization. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle sensitive information with confidentiality and is capable of performing other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation to Managers and People Department on Compensation issues related to SICK pay structures, pay change recommendations, new hire offers, wage and hourly regulations, policy/procedure interpretation, variable incentive plans, etc.
  • Conduct job analysis to determine FLSA exemption and salary grade assignment based on external market data, internal equity and compensation guidelines.
  • Ensure grade assignments are externally competitive and internally equitable.
  • Administrate the variable compensation plan for North America.
  • Evaluate current compensation plans against market trends, make recommendations as needed.
  • Manage annual merit process for North America.
  • Develop and execute compensation education for varying levels across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Compensation or Human Resources; experience with Sales Compensation preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, human resources, or another related field.
  • Certification (CCP) or advanced training in compensation preferred.
  • Experience with market pricing and job evaluation methodologies preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and compensation software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ADP and SAP Success Factors preferred.
