About the position

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources team. This full-time position is based in Saint Joseph, MO, and offers a competitive salary range of $68,182.40 to $102,273.60 per year. The Compensation Analyst will play a crucial role in providing financial analysis and review of Mosaic's compensation programs across the health system. The primary focus will be on benchmarking jobs against local, regional, and national survey data, as well as other market intelligence, to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position. This ensures that our compensation programs remain attractive and competitive in the healthcare market. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will analyze compensation survey data to make informed recommendations regarding market trends. The position involves participation in the development, implementation, and administration of Mosaic Health System's compensation programs, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives. The analyst will work closely with leaders, business partners, and recruiters to administer compensation plans, ensuring that employees receive fair pay and benefits for their contributions. The Compensation Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining reporting and tracking mechanisms for managing compensation programs, which include performance reports, metrics, timely calculations, reconciliations, analyses, and benchmarks. Additionally, the analyst will assist in the implementation of various pay programs, such as market and merit adjustments, and variable pay payouts, while developing timelines for implementation and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness in the process. This position requires a keen eye for detail, as the analyst will verify correct information in payroll and individual communications, analyze current organizational pay practices, and make recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides financial analysis, modeling, and support of Mosaic Health System's compensation programs.
  • Uses and maintains reporting and tracking mechanisms for managing compensation programs inclusive of performance reports, metrics, timely calculations, reconciliations, analyses and benchmarks.
  • Assists with the implementation of various pay programs (i.e. market and merit adjustments, variable pay payouts, etc).
  • Develops timeline for implementation and works with other stakeholders to ensure the process is completed accurately and timely.
  • Verifies correct information in payroll and individual communications.
  • Assists in analyzing current organizational pay practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity.
  • Researches special compensation programs or incentive systems to support the organization's strategies.
  • Conducts audits of compensation related items per pay period to ensure items such as status, FTE, shift, job title, and alternate codes have been calculated and entered correctly.
  • Participates and provides data input for annual salary surveys and submits all salary surveys.
  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or related field required.
  • 2 years compensation or financial experience required.
  • Proficient with a variety of software packages, including Word, Excel, Power Point and the internet.
