The Compensation Analyst at Cleco plays a crucial role in supporting the company's compensation management activities. This position is designed for individuals who have a foundational understanding of compensation principles, practices, concepts, and theories. The analyst will work closely with the Compensation Advisor and the Manager of HRIS & Payroll to execute various tasks related to compensation management. This includes conducting salary surveys, analyzing data from various sources, and making recommendations to ensure that Cleco remains competitive in the job market, both internally and externally. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will assist in the preparation of compensation increase and incentive programs, utilizing data results to identify trends based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), market information, or business strategy. The analyst will also be responsible for preparing required reporting and filings, ensuring that all data management processes comply with company policies and privacy regulations. Collaboration with both internal and external partners, including employees, HR team members, business leaders, and compensation consultants, is essential for success in this position. Key responsibilities include championing a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence. The analyst will collect, analyze, and compile data from the human resource information system (HRIS) and other compensation sources to assist with market benchmarking and analysis of market trends. Participation in market competitive pay positions is also expected to ensure that the pay structure aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives. Additionally, the analyst will assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data for the Executive Compensation section of the annual proxy, and will compile compensation-related reporting for internal and external audits. The role requires a high level of analytical skills to evaluate, develop, and optimize compensation programs, while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of departmental records and employee documentation.
