About the position

Join a dynamic organization driven by our passion for healthcare. Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking a talented Compensation Analyst to provide day-to-day analytical support for UHS compensation programs both at the corporate office and for field locations. This role is collaborative and will partner with other members of the Compensation team to drive consistency across policies, practices, and methodologies. The position operates on a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days flex-remote, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work flexibility. As a Compensation Analyst, you will conduct compensation benchmark analysis, recommend grade assignments, and handle day-to-day questions from field HR and/or Recruiting teams. You will escalate issues as required and coordinate activities with Compensation Leadership, field HR Directors, and other leaders as necessary. Additionally, you will serve as a primary resource for the creation of job descriptions, reviewing them for consistency, appropriateness, and accuracy, while providing direct feedback to Recruiting teams and/or hiring managers for Corporate job descriptions. Your role will also involve providing administrative and analytical support on a variety of projects, including market research, cost analyses/budgeting, regulatory compliance updates (FLSA, minimum wage, etc.), and the implementation of new programs. You will prepare files for assigned salary survey submissions and evaluate and provide recommendations for new survey sources as they become available. Furthermore, you will assist with the planning and implementation of HRIS/Compensation Software projects related to compensation issues, ensuring that UHS remains compliant and competitive in its compensation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compensation benchmark analysis and recommend grade assignments.

  • Assist with planning and implementation of HRIS/Compensation Software projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years' compensation experience.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws applying to company compensation programs.
  • Specific knowledge of healthcare jobs preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Well organized with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Confident to work independently but also a strong team player.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HRIS experience with Lawson or other similar systems.
  • Experience with Marketpay preferred.
