About the position

The Compensation Analyst at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio is responsible for supporting human resources in developing, implementing, and administering compensation-related programs. This role involves conducting job evaluations, performing compensation analysis, and participating in market surveys to ensure competitive salary structures. The analyst will also provide guidance on compensation best practices and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform human resources staff support to develop, implement, and administer compensation-related programs.
  • Conduct job evaluations and compensation analysis.
  • Participate in market survey activities to gather compensation data.
  • Formulate recommendations for updates to salary ranges and FLSA exemptions.
  • Revise job descriptions as necessary and prepare special studies to update compensation policies.
  • Provide guidance to HR staff and managers on compensation best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and UT System laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in human resources or compensation analysis.
  • Strong understanding of compensation best practices and policies.
  • Ability to conduct job evaluations and market analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems and compensation software.
  • Knowledge of federal and state compensation laws and regulations.
