About the position

The Compensation Analyst position at Henry Schein is a critical role responsible for the implementation and administration of various compensation processes. This includes overseeing salary administration, bonus plan administration, and Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) administration. The analyst will evaluate salaried, hourly, and professional positions, making compensation recommendations to the business based on thorough analysis. This role requires preparing and reviewing job descriptions, evaluating jobs using established systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies regarding wage and salary changes. The analyst will also participate in compensation surveys and assist in updating the salary structure as needed. In terms of bonus plan administration, the Compensation Analyst will own and drive the International Executive Performance Incentive Plan process. This involves data collection, populating award templates, and ensuring the accuracy of awards. The analyst will collaborate with business and finance teams to assign correct budgets to participants and assist in administering the U.S. annual bonus programs. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities related to the Long-Term Incentive Plan, such as preparing exhibits for the Compensation Committee, processing restricted stock vesting, and conducting audits. The position requires proficiency in various systems, including Microsoft Excel, Workday, iSchein, and MarketPay, as well as a solid understanding of employment law and compensation regulatory requirements. The analyst must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures. Professional maturity and the ability to deliver difficult messages empathetically are also essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate salaried, hourly and professional positions and make compensation recommendations to the business
  • Prepare and review job descriptions based on analysis of position responsibilities
  • Evaluate jobs using established evaluation systems, determine grades and prepare records of the validity of the evaluation
  • Review changes in wages and salaries for conformance to Company policy
  • Audit evaluation of positions and application of existing classifications to individuals
  • Participate in compensation surveys
  • Assist in updating the salary structure
  • Audit data in Workday, iSchein and MarketPay as needed
  • Approve some compensation recommendations and changes in Workday
  • Own and drive the International Executive Performance Incentive Plan process including data collection, populating award templates and ensuring awards are correct and accurate
  • Work with business and finance teams to assign correct budgets to PIP participants
  • Assist in administering the U.S. annual bonus programs to collect and update data and to calculate awards
  • Assist in reviewing bonus plans for conformance to policy
  • Assist in the preparation of exhibits for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Assist with annual and off-cycle restricted stock and restricted stock unit vesting's
  • Assist with processing bank wires to transfer tax proceeds to local entities
  • Conduct LTIP audits and prepare grant loads for review
  • Conduct SOX testing
  • Assist with reporting and ad-hoc LTIP requests

Requirements

  • Typically 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient in Workday and associated processes
  • Proficient in iSchein and associated processes
  • Proficient in internal audit BWise system and associated processes
  • Proficient in stock plan administration system and associated processes
  • Intermediate knowledge of MarketPay and associated processes
