About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Emory Healthcare plays a crucial role in managing and administering the organization's compensation programs. This position involves educating employees and managers about compensation policies, determining salary quotes, processing wage changes, and ensuring the accuracy of employee transactions. The analyst will also participate in market analyses and collaborate with HR business partners to maintain competitive compensation practices while supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Educate employees and managers about the organization's compensation programs and philosophy.
  • Determine appropriate salary quotes for new hires, transfers, promotions, and demotions using established methodologies.
  • Participate in the administration of annual performance management, incentive, or salary increase programs.
  • Process wage and salary changes resulting from merit increases, promotions, or market adjustments.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of employee transactions and evaluation forms.
  • Handle basic issues and refer complex issues to senior staff.
  • Maintain professional development through educational programs and networking with other professionals.
  • Participate in salary surveys and research additional sources of market data.
  • Assist senior team members in improving compensation-related processes.
  • Partner with HR BPs in maintaining job descriptions, equity reviews, and salary concerns.
  • Perform compensation-related responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
  • Support, analyze, evaluate, and monitor the administration of compensation programs for internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Review related policies and assist in educating employees about their application.
  • Conduct market analyses and recommend adjustments for specific jobs to maintain competitive compensation status.
  • Actively participate in developing and achieving departmental objectives and goals.
  • Build relationships with internal client groups and liaise with HR business partners to deliver high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of professional human resources experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Previous compensation administration experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Workday, or Oracle preferred.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, health education, or a related field.
