About the position

The Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, focusing on various compensation activities that require strong analytical skills, particularly in Excel. This position involves consulting with leaders and HR Business Partners on compensation-related matters, ensuring compliance with wage laws, and providing essential compensation reporting. The Analyst is responsible for market monitoring, job pricing, and developing resources for HR and Talent Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provides consultation and recommendations for offers of employment, promotions, and various other compensation related transactions to support Partners and Leaders.
  • Conducts ongoing compensation modeling and statistical/financial reporting and analysis for various compensation programs.
  • Serves as an advocate of compensation and educates Partners on how to carry that forward with the business they support.
  • Evaluates new positions and provides recommendations to HR Business Partner, consulting and collaborating with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to understand team and role structures.
  • Conducts analysis of compensation related data across multiple systems to benchmark against industry practices and conducts cost/benefit analysis.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage laws, keeping abreast of current and anticipated regulatory changes and updating key stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains resources for HR and Talent Partners to access key compensation resources, including job descriptions and other guidelines.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the job code table in HRIS, ensuring consistent formatting, quality, completeness, and leveling.
  • Identifies opportunities to continuously improve tools and streamline processes to increase efficiency of compensation planning efforts.
  • Responds to compensation surveys by deadlines and updates the third-party compensation survey tool.
  • Assists in the administration of the Merit and Bonus processes.
  • Meets the physical requirements as listed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of Human Resources experience demonstrating strong analysis or 2 years of compensation analysis and administration experience
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills, including working knowledge of pivot tables, vlookups, formulas, and indexing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create graphic presentations of data analysis
  • Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously and comply with deadlines
  • Proficient in operating a calculator, computer, printer, fax machine, telephone, copier, and shredder.
