This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week from 1810 16th Street, Sacramento. Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager III of the Financial Management Division (FMD), the Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) acts as a non-supervisory highly-skilled, independent staff specialist in the areas of employee compensation, personnel programs, and pay policy analysis for the Employee Compensation Unit. This includes preparing analyses of salaries, pay differentials, special salary adjustments, and salary relationship charts. The role requires a deep understanding of compensation structures and the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform pay policies and practices. The analyst will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding employee compensation, and will work closely with other departments to provide guidance and support on compensation-related matters. The position demands a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
