About the position

The Compensation Analyst will support and administer compensation programs and initiatives at 10x Genomics, focusing on creating competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent. This role involves collaboration with HR and business leaders to ensure equitable compensation strategies that align with company goals. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in managing multiple compensation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in compensation surveys, perform market research, analyze data, and formulate recommendations regarding compensation equity programs.
  • Assist with the analysis, design, and administration of base pay, bonus, and equity processes, including merit increases and performance reviews.
  • Conduct job analysis and evaluations on new and revised positions to determine appropriate title, salary grade, and job classification.
  • Support the annual plan and forecast processes by calculating bonus pools and summarizing financial impacts of compensation plan changes.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and management on compensation-related issues and initiatives.
  • Develop and prepare recurring compensation reporting/analytics and support ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of annual compensation review programs.
  • Participate in the market benchmarking process and maintain the market pricing system.
  • Assist with reviewing and approving proposed salary and incentive compensation changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • 3+ years of compensation experience, including administering base pay, variable pay, and long-term incentive compensation programs.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in HR and Finance.
  • Demonstrated analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient with MS Office and Google Suites, with strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HR systems, preferably Workday.
