About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Intercontinental Exchange will play a crucial role in supporting the design and execution of global compensation plans. This includes managing base pay administration, annual cash incentives, and long-term equity incentives. The analyst will work closely with the Compensation Manager to consult with HR business partners and line managers on various compensation activities across the organization. This position is essential for ensuring that compensation practices align with the company's strategic goals and market standards. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will participate in ICE's global compensation benchmarking process, which involves job matching, survey submissions, and results analysis. The analyst will also conduct ad hoc benchmarking of jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position. Additionally, the analyst will prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information, providing valuable insights to stakeholders. The analyst will assess US jobs and their respective duties to determine their classification as exempt or nonexempt. They will support HR Business Partners and business leaders in defining and maintaining job structures across the organization. Monthly HR headcount reporting and related analytics will also be part of the responsibilities, along with contributing to employee communications related to global compensation programs. The analyst will conduct analyses to support decisions related to executive compensation and prepare materials for the compensation committee. Furthermore, they will support the administration of the year-end performance management and compensation cycle and participate in the design and testing of compensation-related aspects of HR reporting and HR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in ICE's global compensation benchmarking process including job matching, survey submission and results analysis.
  • Conduct ad hoc benchmarking of jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Assess US jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt.
  • Support HR Business Partners and business leaders in defining and maintaining job structures across the organization.
  • Produce monthly HR headcount reporting and related analytics.
  • Contribute to employee communications related to global compensation programs.
  • Conduct analysis to support decisions related to executive compensation.
  • Prepare compensation committee materials.
  • Support administration of year-end performance management and compensation cycle.
  • Participate in design and testing of compensation related aspects of HR reporting and HR systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • One to three years of experience working in a corporate compensation or compensation consulting environment.
  • Experience managing large amounts of data and executing complex analytics accurately and independently using Excel.
  • Team player with flexible attitude - willingness to and interest in contributing beyond job specifications as needed.
  • Able to establish collaborative relationships across all organizational levels and functions.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a straightforward fashion.
  • Global perspective in approach to work.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
