About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Swift Transportation is responsible for supporting and monitoring the company's compensation programs and initiatives. This role involves conducting detailed analyses, participating in salary surveys, collaborating with HR teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The analyst will also administer pay programs and assist in process improvement initiatives to maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data and conduct detailed analyses to support and monitor compensation programs.
  • Participate in and review salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation structure.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and leaders on compensation strategy and job architecture.
  • Conduct compensation analyses to support design and administration of compensation programs.
  • Participate in targeted 3rd party surveys to assess competitiveness of compensation packages.
  • Write, revise, and maintain job descriptions database and consult with managers on job descriptions.
  • Ensure compliance of job descriptions with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform internal and external pay analysis for salary grades and competitiveness.
  • Coordinate and support compensation planning tools for maximum utilization.
  • Administer pay programs and prepare reports for modeling compensation plan changes.
  • Create and maintain reports by analyzing and collating data.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulations affecting compensation policies.
  • Keep abreast of trends and best practices and recommend changes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in Compensation, Human Resources, and/or HRIS required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Certified Compensation Professional preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to compensation programs required.
  • Proficient in extracting data from HR systems and compiling reports.
