About the position

The Compensation Analyst at LCMC Health plays a crucial role in supporting the management and execution of the compensation program. This position involves analyzing, verifying, tracking, and reporting on various compensation programs, including job evaluations and complex analyses for assigned functional areas. The analyst is responsible for administering pay programs, processing annual pay, executing pay philosophy, creating salary ranges, and managing variable pay programs, along with handling a variety of ad-hoc compensation projects. Collaboration with other departments and stakeholders is essential to ensure compliance and promote inclusion within the organization. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will provide analysis and recommendations for new or revised job classification requests, determining appropriate job levels and salary grade assignments. This includes conducting complex analyses that support talent management objectives and reporting needs. The analyst will implement an understanding of healthcare job families, including related education, competencies, and licenses, to make informed recommendations. Evaluating FLSA classifications for jobs into appropriate non-exempt, exempt, and managerial positions is also a key responsibility, along with managing the job description library. The position requires expertise in pay modeling and salary analysis, where the analyst will research system problems, lead market data analysis projects, and provide recommendations for competitive pay levels and salary structures. As a subject matter expert, the analyst will utilize analytical skills to develop financial and data models that provide actionable insights. Additionally, the role involves performing statistical analyses and participating in salary surveys to maintain competitive pay practices. The analyst will also support the delivery and communication of the annual compensation review process, providing necessary HR/statistical information to administration and department managers to facilitate informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and verify compensation programs including job evaluations and complex analyses.
  • Administer pay programs, including annual pay processing and salary range creation.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for job classification requests.
  • Conduct complex analysis in support of talent management objectives.
  • Evaluate FLSA classifications for jobs into appropriate categories.
  • Manage the job description library.
  • Lead market data analysis projects and provide recommendations for pay levels.
  • Develop financial and data models to provide actionable insights.
  • Perform job mapping and compile compensation data for surveys.
  • Support the delivery and communication of the annual compensation review process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive hospital compensation design and support experience.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Expert level user of database management/report writer software (Crystal or equivalent SQL/Query).
  • Knowledge of compensation payroll practices and performance management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master's degree with a focus on Human Resources.
  • Certified Compensation Professional certification.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems.
