About the position

The Global Compensation Analyst at Owens & Minor plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's compensation programs are competitive and aligned with company objectives. This position involves conducting market analysis, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to enhance compensation strategies. The analyst will collaborate closely with HR business partners to ensure effective and efficient compensation programs, while also ensuring compliance with compensation laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market analysis and research to support compensation recommendations.
  • Analyze external market data and internal compensation data using tools like Workday and MarketPay.
  • Review existing compensation programs and policies for internal and external equity and legal compliance.
  • Administer global compensation surveys and ensure participation deadlines are met.
  • Market-price internal jobs to survey jobs and audit job matches for consistency globally.
  • Conduct job analysis and provide recommendations on job levels to maintain global job architecture integrity.
  • Support HR and operational business partners with compensation needs, including job leveling and pay ranges.
  • Assist in the annual merit and bonus process, including data integrity validations and communication materials preparation.
  • Support the global mobility function by coordinating and guiding candidates and managers through immigration and relocation processes.
  • Perform audits of compensation data such as job levels and merit plans in Workday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.
  • Three or more years of experience as a Compensation, Human Resources or Finance Analyst (or related field).
  • CCP designation or GRP certification preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with job evaluation types and experience with global job architecture administration.
  • Experience supporting compensation globally and understanding local practices internationally.
  • Previous experience with compensation management tools such as MarketPay or CompAnalyst.
  • Understanding of immigration laws and relocation processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting global mobility and understanding of immigration laws and relocation process.
  • Familiarity with compensation management tools' functionalities, especially market-pricing and survey participation modules.
