The Compensation Analyst is responsible for managing the compensation function as well as analyzing and reporting on HR metrics and data. This role plans, develops, and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. The analyst will monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with the organization's Compensation Philosophy. In addition to managing the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, the analyst will provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations. They will oversee the implementation and execution of the annual merit process and participate in salary surveys, monitoring salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved. The analyst will ensure that all roles within the organization have current job descriptions that accurately reflect departmental needs and will run compensation analyses to ensure market pricing is current and accurate for all roles. The role also involves conducting data and cost analyses for employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements, administering short and long-term incentive programs, and analyzing data and statistics to compile HR metrics from various sources. The analyst will prepare reports of data analysis, present findings to senior leadership, and identify and recommend short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics. Compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations is crucial, and the analyst will advise management on applicable regulations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
