About the position

The Compensation & Benefits Analyst at NTTA plays a crucial role in managing and administering various employee benefit programs, leave of absence policies, and compensation functions. This position serves as a key resource for HR Generalists and assigned departments, providing guidance and support on benefits, leave, and compensation matters while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for the administration of leaves including FMLA, Workers Compensation, Military Leave, Short- and Long-Term Disability, ADA, and HIPAA privacy laws.
  • Partner with the Compensation & Benefits Manager and Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst in the administration of annual enrollment.
  • Administer compensation functions such as new hire salary justifications, internal movements, and developing job descriptions.
  • Analyze and develop job descriptions for positions in assigned departments, ensuring they accurately reflect the work performed.
  • Organize, evaluate, and coordinate compensation studies and participate in compensation surveys.
  • Evaluate current benefits/processes, industry trends, and legislative requirements, presenting recommendations for changes to management.
  • Coordinate annual enrollment, benefits and wellness events, and vendor on-site visits.
  • Assist with the administration of benefit plans by reconciling payroll deductions, processing payments, and responding to inquiries.
  • Advise employees regarding eligibility and coverage provisions for various benefit plans.
  • Deliver new hire orientation and training for employees and supervisors.
  • Coordinate HRIS activities related to the organization's human resources information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience administering leave of absence programs.
  • 3-5 years of experience administering employee benefit programs.
  • 3-5 years of experience with basic compensation administration.
  • Direct experience with FMLA, Workers Compensation, Disability, and other leave and benefits programs.
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and leave benefits in an HRIS System.

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification.
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification.
  • Direct experience with self-insured benefits administration in a government environment.
  • PeopleSoft administration experience.
