About the position

The Compensation & Benefits Analyst at RF-SMART plays a crucial role in supporting the development, implementation, and administration of the company's total rewards programs. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about transforming customer experiences and making a positive impact on lives through effective compensation and benefits strategies. The analyst will work closely with HR colleagues, external vendors, and business leaders to ensure that the total rewards programs are competitive, effective, and aligned with the company's compensation philosophy. This hybrid role is based in Jacksonville, FL, and offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that directly influences employee satisfaction and organizational success. In this role, the Compensation & Benefits Analyst will administer processes related to the employee life cycle, including new hire onboarding, compensation management (including incentives), benefits administration, and retirement planning. The analyst will benchmark best practices in employee benefits, research industry trends, track relevant legislation, and assess the impact of these factors on the company's offerings. By conducting employee surveys and forming focus groups, the analyst will determine employee benefit interests and recommend programs that optimize understanding, acceptance, and competitive advantage. The analyst will also be responsible for explaining employee benefits through meetings, written communications, and graphic announcements, while addressing any inquiries from employees. Additionally, the role involves administering leave of absence requests and resolving benefits claims related to disability and parental leave. The analyst will collaborate with external vendors, including consultants and third-party administrators, to gather data and understand the dynamics of benefit plans. Maintaining confidentiality of employee information is paramount in this position. Furthermore, the Compensation & Benefits Analyst will conduct compensation data analysis using both internal and external sources, providing insights to the broader total rewards team for informed decision-making. The role includes assisting with compensation analytics, merit cycles, and incentive reporting, as well as educating HR staff, managers, and employees on compensation and benefits planning processes. The analyst will proactively guide and train HR team members on new HRIS processes and tools, define and deliver reporting and analytics to address business issues, and analyze HR data to inform leadership and finance teams of trends. This position also involves maintaining data integrity within the HRIS system, processing salary adjustments, promotions, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Administers processes in the employee life cycle related to new hire onboarding, compensation (including incentives), benefits, and retirement.
  • Determines employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact.
  • Conducts employee surveys and forms focus groups to determine employee benefit interests; analyzes responses.
  • Recommends employee benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing employee understanding, acceptance, and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage.
  • Explains employee benefits by conducting meetings; preparing written and graphic announcements and explanations; responding to requests.
  • Administers leave of absence and resolves benefits claims related to disability, parental leave, etc.
  • Works with external vendors, including consultants and third-party administrators, to gather data and understand benefit plan dynamics.
  • Responsible for research and feedback to escalated customer service issues with third-party administrators.
  • Maintains employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.
  • Conducts compensation data analysis utilizing both internal and external sources highlighting conclusions for the broader total rewards team to make informed decisions.
  • Assists with compensation analytics, merit cycles, and incentive reporting.
  • Educates HR staff, managers, and employees on compensation and employee benefits planning and processes.
  • Proactively provides guidance and training to HR team members, managers, and employees on new HRIS processes and tools.
  • Defines, communicates, and delivers reporting and analytics to help solve business issues.
  • Analyzes, assesses, and interprets HR data to inform HR Leadership and the Finance team of trends.
  • Analyzes data to create high-level and detailed reports of human capital information including compensation, turnover, and organization changes.
  • Analyzes and maintains employee demographic and assignment data in the HRIS system to ensure data integrity.
  • Reviews and processes salary adjustments, promotions, and other compensation-related changes in compliance with company policies.
  • Conducts audits to ensure compensation practices and job descriptions remain competitive, equitable, and legal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of HR analyst experience with HRIS, compensation, and benefits responsibilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws, EDI feeds, and resolving errors.
  • Advanced knowledge of compensation and benefits including FLSA.
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS workflows, permissions, and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Suite skills.
