About the position

The Payroll and Compensation Specialist at Espire Dental is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll and compensation processes. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll management while collaborating with HR, finance, and operations teams to support the organization's mission of delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll management and compensation structures, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple states.
• Calculate bi-weekly doctor and hygiene team compensation and complete review process with Practice Managers.
• Calculate monthly production and EBITDA bonuses for practice team members in conjunction with the Finance team.
• Maintain and update employee records in payroll software, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and management.
• Collaborate with the HR team on benefits administration, including coordinating deductions and contributions with payroll processing.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processing efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
• Support additional payroll or compensation-related projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration or compensation.
• Proficiency in Paycom (Beti) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compensation best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with healthcare or DSO-specific payroll practices.
