About The Position

The Compensation Associate at Scholastic is responsible for supporting the analysis and administration of both broad-based and executive compensation functions. This role involves providing regular and ad-hoc reports, maintaining data integrity, and assisting with various compensation plans and programs. The position requires collaboration with multiple departments and stakeholders, ensuring compliance and effective project support.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of compensation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or finance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel and HRIS systems.
  • WorkDay experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of compensation best practices and processes.

  • Equity compensation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of executive compensation.
  • Assist with the maintenance of long-term incentive plans (LTIP).
  • Administer the Management Stock Purchase Plan (MSPP) and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
  • Provide reporting on all aspects of executive compensation and handle ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist with the administration of annual merit processes, ensuring data integrity and system testing with HRIS.
  • Collaborate on salary surveys and gather data for annual submissions.
  • Track the Spot Bonus program, monitor budget spend, and generate quarterly reports.
  • Confirm payments for Compensation Commitments with HRBPs and payroll, partnering with Finance on monthly reports.
  • Audit data in WorkDay and collaborate with HRBPs.
  • Support FLSA and entry-level job evaluations requests.
  • Prepare compensation-related proxy tables and annual CEO Pay Ratio analysis.
  • Support Financial, Accounting, and SOX reporting.
  • Gather data for Total Rewards Statement preparation and prepare materials for the Job Family project.
  • Participate in ad-hoc compensation projects and departmental initiatives as requested.
