About the position

The Compensation & Benefits Analyst at Thermon is responsible for managing and administering US benefit programs within a global organization. This role focuses on providing innovative solutions for employee benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing employee communication regarding benefits. The analyst will work collaboratively with the HR team and external vendors to resolve benefit-related issues and improve processes, all while maintaining a strong customer service orientation for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of all US Benefits and US Leave of Absence programs.
  • Management of self-funded medical, 401(k), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and other health and wellness benefits.
  • Day-to-day administration of benefits within Workday.
  • Management of annual USA open enrollment.
  • Maintaining the calendar of applicable Benefits programs, initiatives, compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Assisting with the Canadian benefits program in consultation with the local HR team.
  • Managing employee communications including newsletters, webinars, and new hire enrollment.
  • Collaborating with the HR team and broker to identify and resolve benefit-related issues and inquiries.
  • Reconciling with carriers to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Working with vendors to complete compliance testing, corrections, and auditing.
  • Assisting with mergers and acquisitions and subsequent integrations as required.
  • Conducting compliance auditing, including reconciling benefits bills to employee selections and assisting with HRIS.
  • Keeping apprised of federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of demonstrated analytical and process improvement experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits program management.
  • 1+ years of experience with Workday or equivalent ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
  • Experience with FMLA and disability management.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Mind-set of continuous improvement, adapts quickly to change, and ability to rapidly assimilate new information.
  • High level of personal integrity, ethics, and initiative; strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
