The company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compensation and Benefits Analyst to join its team. This role is crucial for developing and implementing compensation and benefit strategies that attract, motivate, and retain top talent within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen business acumen, and a passion for data-driven decision-making. In this position, the Compensation and Benefits Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of Cosm's benefit plans and programs. This includes leading the setup of new plan designs and enrollment profiles for open enrollment in Dayforce, coordinating with the benefits broker to resolve complex employee insurance issues, and conducting employee benefits education sessions. The analyst will also be tasked with answering employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and programs, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation of benefit invoices, and assisting with the annual audit of the 401(K) Plan and IRS 5500 filing. On the compensation side, the analyst will summarize, organize, and analyze People data from various sources to identify trends and insights. This includes creating visually appealing data presentations, participating in salary surveys, and preparing ad hoc compensation reports for management. The role also involves evaluating positions for classification and salary grade, ensuring that compensation programs align with the company's goals, and assisting in the preparation of annual merit increases and incentive programs. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of Cosm benefit plans and programs.
  • Leads the setup of new plan designs and enrollment profiles for open enrollment in Dayforce (HCM).
  • Coordinates with Cosm's benefits broker to resolve complex employee insurance benefits issues.
  • Coordinates and leads employee benefits education sessions.
  • Answers employee questions and provides information related to the organization's benefits, policies, and programs.
  • Ensures the timely processing and reconciliation of benefit invoices.
  • Coordinates with Accounting to reconcile employee insurance deductions and benefit plan funding.
  • Assists with 401(K) Plan annual audit and IRS 5500 filing.
  • Administers leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD, PFL).
  • Tracks and identifies ACA eligibility; processes ACA 1094 and 1095 forms.
  • Summarizes, organizes, and analyzes People data from multiple sources to represent trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Creates visually appealing, informative, and presentation-ready data decks or dashboards.
  • Participates in salary surveys and analyzes data from survey sources to determine competitiveness.
  • Designs and prepares ad hoc compensation and budget-related reports for management.
  • Assists in preparation of the annual merit increase and incentive programs.
  • Evaluates positions to determine classification, exempt and nonexempt status, and salary grade.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure compensation programs align with company goals.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an HR or People Data analysis capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of designing and managing compensation and benefits programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring a high standard of quality and integrity of data analysis and reporting.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, working towards common goals and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
