About the position

The Compensation and Benefits Program Manager at Children's National Hospital is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and implementing compensation and benefits-related programs and processes. This role serves as a subject matter expert in HR, providing guidance and oversight to ensure alignment with compensation policies and legal compliance. The position involves collaboration with HR staff and business leaders to enhance compensation and benefits strategies, as well as developing training materials and conducting training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, organize, and implement compensation and benefits programs and processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation and benefits matters.
  • Consult and advise HR staff and business leaders on compensation and benefits topics.
  • Provide analysis and insights on compensation and benefits-related topics.
  • Ensure alignment of compensation and benefits work with policies and procedures.
  • Lead programs and projects related to annual increases, market surveys, and technology implementation.
  • Implement communication and training activities for compensation and benefits programs.
  • Participate in audits to ensure legal compliance with EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and other regulations.
  • Develop and maintain Total Rewards training materials and provide training to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or related field (Required).
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Preferred).
  • 5 years of related Compensation & Benefits experience (Required).
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) (Preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with market survey participation.
  • Knowledge of new legal changes affecting compensation and benefits.
