About the position

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will manage employee benefits and payroll in a dynamic workplace in Augusta, Georgia. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, including benefits programs, payroll processing, and employee relations. The position is contract to hire, and bilingual candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Manage and update employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and ESOP.
  • Maintain and update HR records and documentation, safeguarding the accuracy of employee data.
  • Handle benefit enrollments and changes, ensuring compliance with self-insured benefit regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries and provide necessary support.
  • Identify and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Encourage employee participation in benefits programs and promote a positive work environment.
  • Provide support for all HR-related inquiries and issues, fostering strong employee relations.
  • Assist in daily HR tasks and functions, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
  • Analyze compensation structures to ensure they are competitive and meet company standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Cisco Webex Meetings
  • Familiarity with CRM, Auditing, Benefit Functions, Claim Administration, and Cobra Administration
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration and human resources software
  • Knowledge of HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems, ADP - Payroll, Benefits Payroll, and Payroll
  • Understanding of Compensation & Benefits, Compensation Administration, Benefits Analysis, and Benefits Administration
  • Ability to assess compliance, and experience in Compliance, Compliance Assessments, and Compliance metrics
  • Knowledge of HR Compliance is required
  • Must have experience in benefit payroll and benefits administration
  • Solid understanding of compensation administration
  • The ability to use human resources software is crucial
  • Experience in claim administration and Cobra administration
  • Proficiency in using Cisco Webex Meetings for communication
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian is a must
  • The ability to assess compliance and knowledge of compliance metrics is required
  • Experience in HR Compliance is a must
  • Proficiency in using CRM is crucial
  • Experience in auditing and understanding of benefit functions is required
  • The ability to use HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems is crucial.
