About the position

In the position of Compensation Manager, you will be responsible for managing and evaluating the compensation function for the organization. This role involves participating in the design of the total reward plan and creating a global grade structure based on job evaluation, hierarchy, and market research to determine fair pay for each position. You will oversee the development and implementation of a total reward compensation strategy, ensuring that the rewards offered are competitive and equitable to attract, retain, and motivate employees effectively. Your essential job functions will include crafting compensation policies that align with organizational goals, conducting market research to determine fair pay for each position, and maintaining salary range and internal equity alignment. You will ensure that the organization offers competitive wages to attract top talent and oversee participation in salary surveys, monitoring salary survey data to achieve corporate compensation objectives. Additionally, you will develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting survey data. You will administer global annual processes with proficiency and accuracy, including the annual compensation review, annual bonus, Long Term Grants/Performance Cash Plan, and Deferred Compensation plan. Providing advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations will also be part of your responsibilities. You will create training materials and reference guides as needed and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing laws and regulations and staying updated on legal requirements. Furthermore, you will develop appropriate job descriptions, re-evaluate current job positions, and classify them according to their levels of importance and responsibility. Testing descriptions for Non-Exempt and Exempt positions using Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) criteria will be essential. You will prepare statistical analysis, data modeling, incentive pay programs, and costing of base pay. Lastly, you will support the stock plan administrator with the end-to-end administration of the company's equity plan, managing the processing of grants, award terminations, equity vesting, and exercises.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources management, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study (preferred).
  • More than 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role or higher.
  • More than 5 years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation and total rewards administration.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Indirect, large data manipulation) and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of UKG for report building is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications include SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credential.
  • Detail orientation with meticulous attention to all aspects of a situation or task.
  • Goal orientation to stay focused on task objectives and perform in accordance with clear expectations and goals.
  • Strong organizational skills to be structured and methodical in working.
  • Problem-solving skills to recognize and apply contingency plans to handle problems.
