About the position

The Compensation Operations Manager at Celanese is responsible for managing compensation compliance activities, process improvements, and the administration of sales incentive plans. This role aims to enhance the compensation function within the organization, ensuring effective strategies to attract and retain top talent while providing proactive expertise and analysis to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales incentive plan design and governance.
  • Oversee the annual global merit and bonus planning process with regional compensation leaders.
  • Administer the global reward and recognition program.
  • Prepare estimates of severance plan payments.
  • Respond to document requests from Legal, Audit, and Risk Management.
  • Coordinate team records retention compliance.
  • Manage the global job description database.
  • Assist with ongoing system and reporting enhancements.
  • Improve and document compensation processes and procedures.
  • Track details of special compensation arrangements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with PeopleSoft, SAP, Workday, or similar HCM applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic human resources practices and policies.
  • Understanding of general incentive plan practices, governance, and tracking.
  • Intermediate mathematical calculation skills.
  • Familiarity with company organizational structure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Word.
