The Compensation & People Analyst at Sage Hospitality Group plays a crucial role in developing compensation structures that optimize hiring and maximize employee retention. This position involves researching and analyzing job requirements and evaluating job positions to ensure the company remains competitive in terms of salaries and total compensation. The analyst will collect, compile, generate reports, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics to support various People & Culture functions, including recruitment, retention, legal compliance, performance management, and workforce analytics. In the compensation domain, the analyst will participate in compensation surveys, conduct research on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends. They will benchmark jobs against data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position. The role also includes assisting with market pricing for new and existing positions, administering the Home Office merit and bonus review process, and designing and maintaining job classifications, pay structures, grades, and compensation budgets. The analyst will advise leaders on effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policies and budgetary guidelines. They will prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information, conduct data and cost analysis to support associate negotiations and collective bargaining agreements, and research associate benefits in similar industries to recommend changes to the company's existing benefits or policies. In the People & Culture aspect, the analyst will collect and compile HR metrics and data from various sources, analyze data for trends related to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws. They will prepare reports of data results, present findings to senior leadership, and recommend policies and activities to improve organizational culture. The analyst may also define system requirements and work with internal partners and external vendors to evaluate and select HRIS software and systems. Additionally, they will partner with People team stakeholders to analyze diversity, equity, and inclusion data and explore innovative ways to make People data more accessible and meaningful. The role also involves assisting with Corporate Finance analysis by gathering and interpreting financial data to support key business decisions, preparing financial models, conducting variance analysis, and assisting with developing forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.
