About the position

The Compensation Programs Analyst at Google plays a crucial role in developing and managing compensation solutions through data analysis and strategic recommendations. This position involves working with large data sets, building data models, and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective compensation planning and program administration. The analyst will also be responsible for monitoring the success of compensation programs and providing insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Build robust data models and analyses leading into each compensation planning cycle and manage tools and resources available for the organization's use during compensation planning.
  • Build reusable technology to scale and sustain program delivery and reusable analytics to automate insights and findings.
  • Manipulate large data sets and convey findings to leadership.
  • Participate in the research, development, and administration of assigned compensation programs, and monitor program success.
  • Create, consult, and review compensation policies and processes.
  • Work on projects such as deep dives, performance rating analysis and compensation policies.
  • Analyze compensation outcomes, draw conclusions and make recommendations for future consideration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or another field that uses quantitative analysis, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in analytical HR role, investment banking, management consulting (e.g., strategy, compensation) or similar analytical role.
  • Experience using analytical methods, tools, and mathematical concepts to identify, design, recommend, and implement compensation solutions.
  • Experience with HR policies, practices, principles, state and federal employment laws, and related regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Business Administration, or another field that uses quantitative analysis, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, executive compensation consulting, or similar fields.
  • Experience in managing large data sets.
  • Experience with SQL or R.
  • Ability to consult/present findings to stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $111,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
