About the position

The Compensation Valuation Consultant will support the compensation valuation team within a collaborative project environment. This role involves engaging in client interactions, analyzing benchmark data, developing analytical models, conducting market research, and preparing client deliverables. The consultant will work with various healthcare entities, including hospitals and physician groups, and will report to a manager, director, or principal for each project.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in client and internal calls and project planning.
  • Review client and industry benchmark data.
  • Develop analytical models and perform market analysis/research.
  • Draft reports and other client deliverable documents.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to employees regarding daily tasks and activities.
  • Prioritize and manage concurrent projects with strong initiative.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.
  • Supervise employees performing similar work or tasks.
  • Participate in performance evaluations.
  • Meet client deadlines and expectations.
  • Actively listen to client needs and identify opportunities for service expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, statistics, or business/healthcare administration.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in physician compensation and/or valuation.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • Confident aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis and industry terminology.
  • Demonstrates advanced techniques to perform technical physician compensation valuations and data analysis methods.
  • Excellent analytical, project-management, communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
  • Ability to translate data into client deliverables/work products.
  • Independent judgment required to complete work assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Willingness and ability to travel (5% - 10%).
