About the position

As a Machine Learning Compiler Engineer II at Annapurna Labs, you will be part of the AWS Neuron Compiler team, focusing on the development and scaling of a deep learning compiler stack. This role involves architecting and implementing features for the AWS Machine Learning accelerators, which are critical for handling large ML workloads. You will collaborate with various teams to solve complex technical problems and contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of machine learning and compiler development.

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack.
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to enhance service performance, durability, cost, and security.
  • Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
  • Research implementations that deliver optimal customer experiences.
  • Create metrics, implement automation, and resolve software defects.
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews, communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally to influence business decisions with technical input.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing compiler features and optimizations.
  • Proficiency in C++ (preferred), C, or Python.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters or PhD degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience optimizing TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX deep learning models.
  • Experience with toolchains like LLVM, XLA/OpenXLA, MLIR.
