The Complex Director of Finance at W Chicago - City Center is a senior-level executive responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Finance and Accounting Department for two hotels. This role involves managing financial operations, guiding the finance team, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations while supporting the hotel's financial goals. The position requires strong leadership and analytical skills to effectively communicate financial data and collaborate with management and department heads.

Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate cash flow-related issues effectively to both management and ownership.
• Coordinate and lead the preparation of forecasts and budgets, actively involving the Executive Team and department managers.
• Analyze financial data and operational metrics to support management in achieving the hotel's financial goals.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Establish, maintain, and audit internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, payroll, and record-keeping.
• Direct and prepare comprehensive financial reports in compliance with company standards and deadlines.
• Oversee regulatory compliance for licenses, permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years prior experience as a Director of Finance for a hotel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
