About the position

The Complex Purchasing Manager at Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace and Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and receiving department. This role involves planning, organizing, and tracking inventories of general merchandise items while ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop receiving teams in a high-volume environment, reporting directly to the Complex Director of Finance and Directors of Food and Beverage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the purchasing/receiving department.
  • Plan, organize, and track inventories of general merchandise items.
  • Communicate with culinary and management teams regarding purchases.
  • Negotiate pricing and purchase goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Review shipments to ensure products received meet orders and quality standards.
  • Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule, and evaluate staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience in purchasing/receiving.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in a high-volume setting.
  • Familiarity with purchasing systems like Coupa and/or BirchStreet.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in hotels.
