About the position

The Complex Senior Sales Executive acts as the on-property liaison for group sales, focusing on achieving group revenue goals through effective sales strategies and customer relationship management. This role involves contracting and closing group business, conducting site inspections, and ensuring quality service delivery. The position is integral to maximizing revenue opportunities and implementing the brand's service strategy to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the on-property liaison for group sales within pre-defined peak room parameters.
  • Contracts and closes group business and conducts site inspections.
  • Verifies timely turnover of business for quality service delivery.
  • Achieves group revenue goals by actively up-selling business opportunities.
  • Implements the brand's service strategy and drives customer loyalty.
  • Understands market conditions and sells against competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Uses negotiating skills to close business and negotiate contracts.
  • Partners with Area Sales to identify new group business opportunities.
  • Develops group sales revenue and operation budgets, providing forecasting reports.
  • Assists with selling and implementing group sales promotions.
  • Attends pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs and obtain feedback.
  • Provides accurate turnover to Event Management and executes operational aspects of booked business.
  • Monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers through various sales activities.
  • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to achieve property needs.
  • Implements exemplary customer service to drive satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, or related area.
  • OR a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing.
