About the position

The Complex Senior Sales Manager serves as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers, focusing on renting rooms, meeting spaces, and food and beverage services. This role involves responding to sales inquiries, initiating new sales, and developing strategies to meet revenue goals while ensuring customer satisfaction through collaboration with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating with clients requiring large group accommodations.
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts to inform prospective customers about room and meeting space availability.
  • Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers.
  • Conduct site inspections with potential customers, showcasing hotel facilities.
  • Attend weekly sales departmental meetings to support business operations.

Requirements

  • Basic hotel product knowledge including staffing, operations, safety, and security.
  • Understanding of hotel structure/layout and departmental interactions.
  • Knowledge of various meeting room setup styles.
  • Extensive knowledge of the market and meeting industry.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with patience and diplomacy.
  • Quantitative processing skills for financial and space utilization calculations.
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Word, Excel, Outlook, Delfi, and OnQ.
  • Strong English language skills for comprehension of guest requests and correspondence.
  • Interpersonal skills to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
