About the position

The Compliance Administrative Assistant at Arnold Grounds Property Management plays a crucial role in supporting the compliance team and property managers in ensuring adherence to affordable housing policies and regulations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in affordable housing, who is passionate about making a difference in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Primary assistant to the Senior Compliance Project Manager
  • Provide auditing functions in preparation for a MOR including files audits and file corrections.
  • Assist with resolutions of findings on Management and Occupancy Reviews.
  • Assist LIHTC properties with reporting to state agencies including file audits and responses, physical audit responses, monthly/quarterly reporting and assisting with data input to state website.
  • Review and monitor uploaded certifications in Onesite, review files for accuracy, and ensure proper forms are being utilized.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Maintain Income Limits and utility allowances for assigned properties.
  • Provide updated progress reports to the sites on file audits, EIV discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing programs, regulations, and policies (e.g., Section 8, LIHTC, HUD programs).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office management software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous onsite working experience as an Assistant Community Manager for affordable housing
  • Experience with housing databases or software.
