About the position

The Compliance and Outcomes Manager at Horizon Services, Inc. is responsible for ensuring that all treatment programs comply with State and Federal guidelines while delivering high-quality care to clients facing substance use challenges. This role involves monitoring, tracking, and auditing compliance with various regulations and standards, as well as implementing quality assurance and improvement practices to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, implement, and oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement (QAQI) functions for assigned programs.
  • Conduct clinical documentation audits and routine patient chart reviews.
  • Provide monthly QAQI reports to the Compliance and Outcomes Administrator.
  • Facilitate QAQI inspections and external auditing processes.
  • Assist in developing policies, procedures, and tools to enhance QAQI functions.
  • Gather and manage program data to enhance service delivery and compliance.
  • Serve as designated Privacy Officer and monitor compliance with data security standards.
  • Develop and monitor program licensing compliance functions for assigned programs.
  • Conduct routine internal audits for program licensing compliance.
  • Gather and manage utilization management (UM) data for assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in substance use disorder, mental health, or similar Quality Assurance and Compliance roles.
  • Preferred certification in substance use disorder or mental health from a state certifying organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • SUD or mental health certification with a state certifying organization.
