The Compliance Business Analyst 2 (RCCL Specialist Surveyor) position at the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) involves evaluating and inspecting residential child care facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires limited supervision and includes responsibilities such as developing survey reports, advising facility administrators on compliance, and conducting investigations. The position may involve significant travel, especially during the initial training period.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and inspect residential child care facilities for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop written survey reports based on documentation principles and relevant knowledge.
• Confer with administrators to discuss noncompliance issues and clarify policies.
• Advise facility administrators on achieving compliance and develop timeframes for compliance.
• Provide technical assistance to meet compliance goals and conduct follow-up assessments.
• Conduct onsite and off-site investigations as needed.
• Provide legal testimony when required.
• Perform other professional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university AND three years of job-related experience; OR one year of experience at the lower level Compliance Business Analyst 1 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in child welfare or regulatory environments is preferred.
