About the position

The Compliance Consultant at Bread Financial is responsible for delivering compliant, risk-based solutions that align with the company's goals. This role involves engaging with business partners to drive compliance strategies, advising on complex compliance matters, and influencing internal stakeholders. The Consultant plays a key role in enterprise-wide projects, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations while mitigating compliance risks through effective policies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive the timely resolution of compliance issues and analyze complaint themes.
• Advise business partners on risk mitigation through policies, procedures, and controls.
• Act as a regulatory subject matter expert, providing compliance guidance and training.
• Present compliance risks and strategies to senior leadership and larger audiences.
• Champion compliance programs and represent compliance on enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Integrate Compliance Management System elements into daily operations and drive necessary changes.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement changes based on regulatory updates and RCSA outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in compliance consulting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) programs.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with some travel.
