About the position

The Compliance Data Specialist in the Distribution department at DreamFields is responsible for ensuring that all cannabis inventory and data tracking systems comply with state and federal regulations. This role involves maintaining accurate sales and inventory records, managing systematic transfers of finished products, and ensuring meticulous tracking and reporting of compliance-related data. The specialist will also handle rejected, returned, or canceled sales orders and maintain communication with regulatory bodies and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of cannabis inventory processes with state and federal regulations.
• Conduct periodic audits of data and inventory/sales records for accuracy and compliance.
• Track product movement and maintain detailed records of inventory movements and distribution.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate digital records including batch records and transfer logs.
• Oversee the product delivery and sales process to ensure compliance guidelines are followed.
• Serve as the primary contact for communication with regulatory bodies regarding inventory and sales data.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Maintain ERP software for tracking inventory and compliance data and train staff on its usage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or bachelor's degree in compliance, statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance, inventory management, or data-focused role.
• Experience with cannabis track-and-trace systems (e.g., METRC, Bio-Track) and ERP software.
• Familiarity with state cannabis regulations and lab testing requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent analytical and data management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams.
