About the position

The Compliance Data Specialist at DreamFields is responsible for ensuring that all cannabis inventory and data tracking systems comply with state and federal regulations. This role involves maintaining accurate sales and inventory records, managing systematic transfers of finished products, and ensuring meticulous tracking and reporting of compliance-related data. The specialist will also handle rejected, returned, or canceled sales orders and maintain communication with regulatory bodies and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of cannabis inventory processes with state and federal regulations.
• Stay updated on cannabis regulations and adjust inventory practices accordingly.
• Conduct periodic audits of data and inventory/sales records for accuracy and compliance.
• Track product movement and maintain compliance with track-and-trace systems.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate digital records of packaging, transfers, and inventory movements.
• Collaborate with Distribution/Supply Chain teams to ensure compliance documentation.
• Oversee the product delivery and sales process to ensure compliance guidelines are followed.
• Serve as the primary contact for regulatory bodies regarding inventory and sales data.
• Train staff on ERP system usage for compliance reporting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or bachelor's degree in compliance, statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance, inventory management, or data-focused role, ideally within cannabis or another regulated industry.
• Experience with cannabis track-and-trace systems (e.g., METRC, Bio-Track) and ERP software for inventory management.
• Familiarity with state cannabis regulations and lab testing requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the cannabis industry or other regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or banking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
