About the position

The Compliance Manager for Corporate Governance & Strategic Operations at Amgen plays a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Governance Director and Strategic Planning & Operations Director within the Worldwide Compliance and Business Ethics department. This position involves significant cross-functional coordination, project management, and oversight of corporate governance processes, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency while contributing to the company's mission of serving patients with serious illnesses.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Governance Director in executing and improving corporate compliance governance processes.
  • Manage preparations for the Corporate Responsibility and Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors and the Executive Operating Team.
  • Handle day-to-day management of corporate governance data, including user access and permissions.
  • Provide operational support to the Chief Compliance Officer, including planning and project management.
  • Coordinate internal and external presentation development for the Chief Compliance Officer and other senior leaders.
  • Manage and track organizational resources, including headcount and budget.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • Master's degree with 2 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience.
  • Associate's degree with 8 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience.
  • High school diploma/GED with 10 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with communication and collaboration platforms/tools such as Smartsheet, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Concur.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with an understanding of compliance risk areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including formal document writing for senior leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and track/report status of assignments.
