About the position
The Manager, Operational Compliance is responsible for overseeing compliance and operational reviews at Yaamava Resort & Casino, ensuring adherence to Accounting Department policies. This role involves identifying deficiencies in operations, preparing detailed reports, and presenting findings to senior management, thereby playing a critical role in risk management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Operational Compliance area, overseeing team members and administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance work meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations for associates and management.
- Assist in process development and improvement initiatives with various departments.
- Develop an annual internal review plan in collaboration with senior management.
- Coordinate internal and external audit reviews, including documentation and responses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in casino/resort gaming.
- Minimum three years of supervisory or senior-level auditor experience in audit, quality control, or risk management.
- Experience in performing audits under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Knowledge of quality assurance, internal controls, and regulatory matters related to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering.
