About the position
The Compliance Manager, Operational Accounting at Yaamava' Resort & Casino is responsible for overseeing compliance and operational reviews in alignment with Accounting Department policies. This role involves assessing deficiencies in both gaming and non-gaming departments, preparing detailed reports, and presenting findings to senior management. The position is critical for managing risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive compliance and operational reviews in support of the resort and casino.
- Provide managerial oversight of the Operational Compliance area, including guidance to team members.
- Ensure work performed meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Review and evaluate work on complex and sensitive cases as needed.
- Prepare and approve final reports for submission to management.
- Assist in developing an annual internal review plan and coordinate audit reviews.
- Make presentations to management and the Gaming Commission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in a relevant field, with casino/resort gaming experience preferred.
- Minimum three years of supervisory or senior-level auditor experience in audit, quality control, or risk management.
- Experience in performing audits under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Knowledge of quality assurance, internal controls, and regulatory matters related to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering.
