About the position

The Compliance Modeling Analyst at UMB Bank plays a crucial role in the CLO Compliance & Analytics Team, focusing on the development, review, and stress testing of compliance models for Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). This position ensures that financial models are accurately aligned with transaction documentation and quality standards. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and requires a strong understanding of CLOs and related financial structures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review financial models for CLOs and related transactions, interpreting transaction requirements.
• Configure models based on documentation specifications and rigorously stress test them.
• Maintain automated processes that enhance operational efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to ensure modeling and resulting data meet client expectations.
• Build templates for generating monthly compliance and quarterly waterfall reports based on transaction modeling.
• Provide continuous maintenance and support for deal modeling and reporting throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Identify and communicate potential gaps in current systems and processes, developing requirements for modeling updates.
• Support CLO Operations with ad-hoc reporting as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in CLO, CDO, or other structured finance transactions.
• Strong understanding of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), legal documentation, data structures, waterfall mechanics, and deal cash flow models.
• Ability to navigate complex datasets and make informed decisions using critical thinking.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a client-oriented approach.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Solvas Compliance & Priority of Payments (PoP).
• Experience with SSRS and PowerBi Reporting.
• Proven skills in SQL, Python, and Visual Basic.
